The Christian Choice for Excellence in Education

Lighthouse Early Learning Centre shines the light on preparing children for school. We are committed to provide a stimulating, caring and supportive environment to enable children to take their first steps on a journey of discovery and learning. The rich learning environment is designed to foster the students to become successful, competent and capable learners. Each child is treated as a gift and unique creation made by God.

Our program encourages children to explore confidently, experiment, be creative and articulate their experiences through play. We strongly believe young children thrive in routine as consistency gives them a sense of security and a good discipline needed for learning. It also builds trust between themselves and their teachers, which help develop a sense of belonging in their environment.

We also recognize that parents are their child’s first teachers. Children learn best when parents are involved in their educational program. The primary bridge between home and school is the involvement of family and community. Excellent qualifications of our ELC staff, as a team, ensure that every child is supported in her or his development through our curriculum which is based on the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. The curriculum is enriched with Christian teaching and learning. Bible stories, songs and prayers give children an awareness of God’s love for them. Christ-centred character qualities are modelled through the love of the teachers and the responses given to the children in our care.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old,he will not depart from it.
